Stanley Kellenberger - Inventor

Inventor/Co-inventor of 19 U.S. Patents

Linda Lang's (Odell) Husband - Author

Society has changed since Al and Mike Odell grew up in the 40's and 50's. Old values, standards, technology, legalities, families, security, transportation, and life styles have evolved, many significantly so. As these changes continue at an increasingly rapid pace, it is intriguing to compare our past and present. In Brother Mine, Mike Odell explores his brother's life, and his own. Their personalitites, their work and their lives were different, but some things held them together - childhood lessons and childhood interests. From the beginning, they embraced technology, especially anything to do with wheels. From wagons, to bicycles, to cars - great cars, they found a common bond for life.

Author Mike Odell graduated from the University of Illinois with an MBA and retired after a 35-year career as an IT professional. Over the years he has written a number of professional publications and contributed to professional references. He has published articles in Victory Lane, the vintage and historic racing news magazine, and he has also written for Road Racers Magazine. His wife, Cindy, provided the illustrations for this book. The author lives with his family in Pennsylvania.

ISBN 1-932278-03-6

Al Odell's widow, Linda Odell, formerly Linda Lang, graduated from EHS in 1962. Al graduated in 1959 and Myron “Mike” Odell graduated in 1961.

Dean Willis - Artist

Bio

All works are either transparent watercolor on cold pressed paper or egg tempera (egg yolk and pigment) on masonite. I am comfortable with the materials used.

I am familiar with the methods and development of hues, contrast and composition. However, the final results are known only after completion.

Painting is my way of rediscovering the world - a learning process involving the ability to see, which is much more than looking with the eye.
